Cheryl Greaves

Cheryl Wooden Greaves, 58 died Wednesday at home. Cheryl was raised in W. Amwell Twp. and had lived in Delaware Twp. for over 25 years.


She was a member of the Sandy Ridge Community Church, a past board member and former secretary of the Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce and was one of the organizers of the of its Shad Festival Poster Auction for many years. She also volunteered countless hours for various other Chamber of Commerce events. For a number of years she worked as a butcher for the A& P Food Store, and from 1984-1988 she owned and operated “Face the Music” music store in Lambertville and was a member of the Stockton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. For 18 years she was the office manager for Custodial Trust Co. in Princeton. Cheryl enjoyed boating, traveling, her pets, music, and cooking and entertaining for her many friends and family members.


She is survived by her father William A. Wooden Jr., and his wife Beverly of Fl., her mother Jeannette Stoltz of Fairless Hills, Pa. her husband of 40 years David V. Greaves, three brothers, Darren Wooden and his wife Angel of Levittown Pa, Wayne Wooden of Fl,. George Stoltz of Lambertville, one nephew Wayne Wooden, Jr., four nieces, Monica, Carol, Lauren and Stacey Wooden and several cousins.


A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday October 23, at the Sandy Ridge Community Church, Delaware Twp. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Rt. 179 Lambertville.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce Shad Fest Art Scholarship Fund, 59 N. Union St. Lambertville, NJ 08530 to benefit local students pursuing a collegiate career in the arts.
